Doug Lawyer has joined 江南体育 as manager of business development in the construction management and real estate development firm\u2019s office in Knoxville, Tennessee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDoug\u2019s extensive economic development experience in Knoxville brings an impressive skill set, including knowledge of every step of development from concept to doors opening,\u201d said Marty Gibbs, senior vice president and general manager for Christman\u2019s operations in Knoxville. \u201cRelationships are at the core of our business, and Doug\u2019s ability to cultivate relationships will be integral to our business and the growth of our community. We\u2019re happy to welcome him to the team.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lawyer earned a bachelor\u2019s degree in geography and political science from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio, and a master\u2019s degree in urban planning from the University of Tennessee. He earned the Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) designation from the International Economic Development Council (IEDC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He previously served as vice president of economic development at the Knoxville Chamber for 24 years where he oversaw the organization\u2019s strategies and team in business attraction and expansion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019ve had the privilege of being connected to 江南体育 throughout my career and have been impressed by their collaborative approach to the projects they undertake,\u201d Lawyer said. \u201cI\u2019ve always admired the company\u2019s work \u2013 they\u2019ve built iconic structures in our community \u2013 and was drawn by their level of trust and respect.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lawyer currently serves as past president of the board for the Wesley House Community Center and is on the board for the West High School Foundation. He is a member of IEDC, Industrial Asset Management Council and Rotary Club of Knoxville. He is a graduate of Leadership Knoxville\u2019s Class of 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A resident of Knoxville for 30 years, Lawyer and his wife, Andrea, are parents to two daughters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
