In February 2024, the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), the organization that oversees federal real estate, announced the winners of their new biennial鈥.鈥疶he GSA awards honor exemplary achievements that demonstrate construction excellence on projects of all sizes. We were honored with the Merit Award in Capital Projects for the Theodore Levin U.S. Courthouse. Originally built in 1934, Levin鈥檚 renovation delivered upon our shared commitment to safety, quality and craftsmanship.
Christman鈥檚 Historic Preservation Group thrives on projects that bring new life to historic buildings. Extensive planning, cost control and quality measures went into this Neo-Classical Revival building restoring the mezzanine, court rooms, domed ceilings and building a new exterior stair tower.
Interesting fact, the Levin Court House was originally built for $1M and remained fully operational throughout this multiphase $140M revitalization.
